Now Foods GTF Chromium is a food supplement in tablets, each of which provides 200 µg of chromium. The source of chromium is Chromium Chelavite – a chromium amino acid chelate which, according to NOW Foods, is chromium nicotinate glycinate. One tablet provides 500% of the nutrient reference value for chromium and two tablets, the maximum recommended daily amount, 1000%. The tablets are taken once or twice a day with food, so a bottle of 250 tablets lasts 125–250 days. GTF in the product name is NOW Foods' designation for this form of chromium, and according to the manufacturer the product is yeast-free.
