OstroVit Xylitol 1000g is a natural sweetener made of 100% xylitol, also known as birch sugar. Xylitol belongs to the group of polyols (sugar alcohols) and occurs naturally in some fruits, vegetables and plants such as birch bark, pears, strawberries and pumpkin. In the food industry it is identified by the additive code E967. Xylitol is a convenient alternative to classic white sugar (sucrose) with a very similar sweetness, while providing the body with about half as many calories.
