BSN Amino X – amino acid blend with vitamin D, caffeine-free

BSN Amino X (AMINOx®) is a flavoured drink powder with a 10 g amino acid blend in each 14.5 g serving: the micronised branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) L-leucine, L-valine and L-isoleucine, plus L-alanine, taurine and L-citrulline. According to the manufacturer, the BCAAs are in a 2:1:1 ratio. A serving also contains 2 g of Efforsorb™ Endura composite, made up of citric acid, malic acid, sodium bicarbonate and cholecalciferol, i.e. vitamin D3 – so one serving provides 12.5 µg of vitamin D. The powder contains no caffeine or other stimulants, a serving has 0 g of sugars and less than 1 g of carbohydrate. It is sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame K. The 1015 g pack contains 70 servings.

Vitamin D

One serving provides 12.5 µg of vitamin D (250% NRV).

How to use?

Mix one scoop of powder (14.5 g) with 180–240 ml of cold water or another drink and drink it before, during or after training. According to the manufacturer’s directions, a second serving may also be taken, so the daily amount is 1–2 servings (14.5–29 g). Mix the drink just before drinking. Two servings provide 25 µg of vitamin D; if you use other food supplements containing vitamin D at the same time, take their amounts into account as well. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.

Who is it for?

Amino X is suitable for adults who train regularly and want a flavoured drink with amino acids and vitamin D during or around their workouts, but without sugar or caffeine. Thanks to the caffeine-free formula, it also suits those who avoid caffeine. As it contains sunflower and/or soy lecithin, the product is not suitable for people with soy allergy. The Fruit Punch flavour contains the colour Allura Red AC (E129), which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.
