Now Foods Lycopene is a food supplement with 20 mg of lycopene from the natural tomato extract LYC-O-MATO® in each softgel. Lycopene is a red carotenoid, a plant pigment that gives ripe tomatoes their characteristic colour. The tomato extract is mixed with rice bran oil and sealed in a soft gelatin capsule. The recommended use is one softgel one to two times a day with food and the bottle contains 50 softgels. Taking one softgel a day, the pack lasts for 50 days; taking two softgels a day, it lasts for 25 days.

What is lycopene?

Lycopene belongs to the carotenoids – the same group of natural pigments as beta-carotene and lutein. Unlike beta-carotene, lycopene is not converted into vitamin A in the body. In the diet, lycopene comes mainly from tomatoes and tomato products such as tomato paste, tomato juice and tomato sauce, but also from watermelon, pink grapefruit and guava. Lycopene is fat-soluble, which is why it is dissolved in rice bran oil in this product. How to use?

Take one softgel one to two times a day with food and swallow it with a glass of water. Do not take more than two softgels a day. If you also take other food supplements containing lycopene or tomato extract, add up their amounts. Close the bottle tightly after use and keep it out of reach of children.
