Thermo Detonator – green tea, bitter orange, cayenne pepper and caffeine

Grenade Thermo Detonator is a green tea, caffeine and cayenne food supplement in gelatine capsules. One serving of two capsules provides 500 mg green tea extract, 420 mg bitter orange powder, 200 mg cayenne pepper, 175 mg caffeine anhydrous, 25 mg L-phenylalanine and 10 mg green coffee extract. The box holds 100 capsules, or 50 servings.

The capsules come in Grenade's signature grenade-shaped container. You can take up to two servings a day, four capsules in total, but no more than two capsules at a time.

Caffeine content

One serving contains 200 mg caffeine, of which 175 mg is added caffeine and 25 mg comes from the green tea extract. Two servings, the maximum daily amount, contain 400 mg caffeine. For this reason, do not use the product on a day when you consume other products containing caffeine, green tea or other stimulants, such as coffee or energy drinks. Do not take the product less than 6 hours before sleep.

Green tea and other ingredients

Green tea extract contains catechins, including epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). One serving contains 5 mg EGCG. Under EU rules, 800 mg or more of EGCG must not be consumed per day, and a product containing green tea extract must not be taken on an empty stomach. Bitter orange powder is made from Citrus aurantium, cayenne pepper is a hot red pepper, L-phenylalanine is an amino acid and green coffee extract is obtained from unroasted coffee beans.

Who is it for?

Thermo Detonator is intended for adults. Because of its high caffeine content, the product is not suitable for people under 18, the elderly, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use the product if you have high blood pressure or take prescription medication. If you have any medical concerns or allergies, consult a doctor or another healthcare professional before use. If you feel unwell after use, reduce or stop use and seek medical advice. The product contains L-phenylalanine. The manufacturer advises tested athletes to consult their federation before use.

Capsule and packaging

The capsule is made of bovine gelatine and is Halal and Kosher certified, so the product is not suitable for vegetarians. The capsule colours are tartrazine (E102), brilliant blue FCF (E133), allura red AC (E129) and iron oxides (E172); tartrazine and allura red AC may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children. The packaging may be attractive to young children, but it is not a toy – small parts present a choking hazard. Store in a cool, dry place.
