What is maca?

Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a root vegetable of the cabbage family, closely related to cabbage, radish and turnip. The plant grows in the hard-to-reach highlands of the Peruvian Andes at around 4,000–5,000 metres above sea level, where it withstands a harsh climate, strong winds and large temperature swings. The tuber-like root is used as food and has long been eaten in the Andes both cooked and dried and ground. Today maca is known worldwide and is also used as an ingredient in food supplements. OstroVit uses maca root extract with a drug-extract ratio (DER) of 10:1, meaning that ten parts of dried root were used to obtain one part of extract.

How to use?

Take one serving, i.e. 1 capsule, a day with a sufficient amount of water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The capsule is convenient to take, for example, with breakfast or another meal. One package lasts 60 days with the recommended use.
