BiotechUSA Iso Whey Platinum is a flavoured drink powder whose protein comes from whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate and milk protein isolate. Micronized creatine monohydrate, the amino acids L-glutamine and L-arginine, and niacin have been added to the protein. One 22.5 g serving provides 19–20 g of protein depending on the flavour, 3 g of creatine and 3.0 mg of niacin, with 92–94 kcal of energy per serving.

According to the label, the product is gluten free: it contains no more than 20 mg of gluten per kilogram of powder. The powder contains sugars and a sweetener; there are 0.7–0.8 g of sugars per serving. The pack contains 908 g of powder, i.e. 40 servings. Sportlab offers five flavours: chocolate, strawberry, cookies & cream, pistachio and coconut-mango.

Composition and nutritional value

The main ingredients of Iso Whey Platinum are instant whey protein isolate (33–37%), instant whey protein concentrate (17–22%) and milk protein isolate (15–18%). All flavours contain 15% micronized creatine monohydrate, 3.5% L-glutamine and 0.85% L-arginine hydrochloride. 100 g of powder provides 85–90 g of protein, 4.5–5.8 g of carbohydrate and 3.9–5.4 g of fat – the exact values for each flavour are given in the nutrition table.

Creatine – 3412 mg of micronized creatine monohydrate per serving, of which 3000 mg is creatine.
L-glutamine – 788 mg per serving.
L-arginine – 192 mg of L-arginine hydrochloride per serving, of which 159 mg is L-arginine.
Niacin – 3.0 mg per serving; 13 mg per 100 g of powder, i.e. 81% of the nutrient reference value.
Gluten free – no more than 20 mg of gluten per 1 kg of powder.

According to the amino acid table on the label, one serving contains a total of 19.1–20.2 g of amino acids, including 8.2–8.8 g of essential amino acids and 1.86–1.99 g of L-leucine.

How to use?

Mix 1 serving (22.5 g, i.e. 1 scoop filled to the top mark) of powder with 200 ml of water in a shaker bottle and shake until smooth. For accurate measurement, use a scale. Take 1 serving daily.

Keep the pack tightly closed in a cool, dry place. The best before date (day/month/year) is printed in the white field of the label (LOT/EXP).

Who is it for?

Iso Whey Platinum is suitable for adults who train regularly and want to add protein to their daily diet with a single drink while also getting 3 g of creatine. According to the manufacturer's warning, the product is not intended for persons under the age of 18 or for those with a medical condition or taking medication, and it must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The powder contains milk and soy, so it is not suitable for people allergic to them. A protein drink is a convenient addition to regular food, but it does not replace a varied and balanced diet.
