Amix Epo-Core® VO2 Max is a caffeine-free food supplement in capsules that the manufacturer has designed to be used before physical activity. The pack contains 120 vegetable capsules. The manufacturer recommends 3–6 capsules a day, preferably before training, so one pack lasts 20 to 40 days. The formula brings together several groups of ingredients: ornithine and arginine alpha-ketoglutarate, ATP (adenosine triphosphate), beta-alanine, phosphates, cordyceps, rhodiola, Angelica sinensis and dandelion root extracts, dimethylglycine, choline, inositol, alpha lipoic acid and chromium. As the product contains no caffeine, it suits those who prefer a caffeine-free product before training.

Chromium

Chromium is a trace element that the body needs in small amounts. In this product chromium is provided as chromium picolinate, and a serving of six capsules contains 100 µg, which is 250% of the nutrient reference value. The smaller serving of three capsules also provides 50 µg of chromium (125% NRV).

How to use?

Take 3–6 capsules a day, preferably before physical activity, and swallow them with plenty of water. The serving size stated by the manufacturer is 6 capsules, which is also the largest recommended daily amount; on this basis the pack contains 20 servings. You can choose a suitable amount within the range of 3–6 capsules. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose and take into account other food supplements you use at the same time that contain chromium, beta-alanine or similar ingredients. Store the pack in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, away from sunlight, and protect it from frost.

Ingredients and quality

A serving of six capsules contains 600 mg of ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate (OKG) and 600 mg of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate (AAKG), i.e. compounds of the amino acids ornithine and arginine with alpha-ketoglutaric acid. The same blend also includes 50 mg of alpha lipoic acid and 150 mg of Angelica sinensis extract. The second blend consists of 1000 mg of beta-alanine, 200 mg of cordyceps extract (standardised to 7% cordycepic acid), 150 mg of rhodiola extract (standardised to 4% rosavins, i.e. 6 mg of rosavins) and 100 mg of N,N-dimethylglycine hydrochloride (DMG). The phosphate blend (332 mg) consists of dipotassium phosphate, disodium phosphate and magnesium citrate. The formula is completed by 100 mg of choline, 100 mg of inositol and 100 mg of dandelion root extract (4:1). The capsule shell is of plant origin and calcium carbonate is used as the colour.
