Universal Tribulus Pro is a food supplement from the American supplement manufacturer Universal Nutrition and part of the company's Classic Series. Each gelatin capsule contains 625 mg of a tribulus blend made of a standardised extract of the plant Tribulus terrestris and a powder made from its fruit. What does the capsule contain?

Tribulus terrestris is a low, ground-hugging annual herb found in warm and dry regions from southern Europe to Asia and Africa. The plant is known for its spiny fruits. In food supplements, mainly the fruits and aerial parts of the plant are used.

The Tribulus Pro capsule contains two types of plant raw material. The first is a standardised extract made from the aerial parts and fruit of the plant, containing at least 40% saponins. Saponins are natural compounds belonging to the glycosides that occur in many plants; in a standardised extract their minimum share is fixed for every batch. The second ingredient is a powder ground from the fruit of Tribulus terrestris. Both are combined in a single 625 mg blend, but the exact ratio of extract to powder is not stated separately on the label.

Besides the plant ingredients, the capsule contains microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate – excipients that help the powder fill the capsules evenly. The capsule shell is made of gelatin.

How to use?
