Now Foods Iron is a food supplement with 18 mg of iron in each vegetarian capsule. The iron comes from ferrous bisglycinate – a compound in which iron is bound to the amino acid glycine. According to NOW Foods, each capsule contains 90 mg of ferrous bisglycinate. The raw material is known as Ferrochel™, a trademark of Albion Laboratories, Inc.
