OstroVit 100% Peanut Butter – made only from roasted peanuts

OstroVit 100% Peanut Butter is made only from roasted peanuts. No salt, sugar or palm oil has been added, so the composition is as simple as possible. Its rich, distinct peanut flavour goes well with both sweet and savoury dishes. The product is a source of protein: 100 grams contain 24 g of protein. The peanut butter comes in a 1000 g jar holding 40 servings of 25 g. Two variants are available – smooth and crunchy. It is made by the Polish company OstroVit.

Smooth or crunchy?

Both variants have the same composition and the same nutrition information; the only difference is the texture. Smooth peanut butter is evenly and finely ground and easy to spread, which makes it ideal for bread, porridge, smoothies and sauces. Crunchy (Super Crunchy) peanut butter contains crunchy peanut pieces that give every bite a noticeable texture. Peanuts stand out among nuts for their high protein content. Most of the fat in peanut butter is unsaturated: 100 grams contain 50 g of fat, of which 7.7 g are saturated fatty acids. The fibre content is 8.4 g per 100 g.

How to use?

Use the peanut butter as you like – spread it on bread or rice cakes, add it to porridge, yoghurt, smoothies or pancakes, or use it in sauces for Asian dishes and in baking. Nutrition information is also given per 25 g serving, which is roughly one heaped tablespoon. The valuable and aromatic peanut oil may rise to the surface over time – this is a natural phenomenon. Stir the peanut butter well before consumption or use the separated oil separately for cooking.

Ingredients and storage

The only ingredient of the product is roasted peanuts (100%). The peanut butter is made in a facility that also uses ingredients derived from milk (including lactose), other nuts and sesame seeds. The best-before information is on the bottom of the jar. Store in a closed container in a dry place at 5–25 °C, away from direct sunlight. Always use a clean, dry spoon.
