Dymatize ISO100 – hydrolysed whey protein isolate and whey protein isolate

Dymatize ISO100 is a protein powder based on two forms of whey protein: hydrolysed whey protein isolate and whey protein isolate. According to the manufacturer, all of the protein in the product comes from whey protein isolate. Whey protein is a milk protein that is separated during cheese making; in an isolate most of the fat and carbohydrate has been removed from the whey, so protein provides most of the energy in the powder. In hydrolysed isolate, the protein has been partially broken down into shorter peptides. One scoop of powder (30–33 g, depending on the flavour) provides 25 g of protein and 110–120 kcal. A serving contains 1 g of fat, 2–3 g of carbohydrate and 1 g of sugars. The flavoured powder is sweetened with sweeteners – all flavours contain sucralose and most also contain steviol glycosides.

How to use?

Mix one scoop of powder (30–33 g, depending on the flavour) with water, milk or a plant-based drink and shake in a shaker or blend until smooth. According to the manufacturer, the powder mixes easily with water, milk and milk alternatives. The recommended amount is 1–2 servings a day as part of a varied diet. The powder can also be used in cooking – the manufacturer’s website features recipes for protein oatmeal, waffles, a smoothie bowl and banana bread, for example. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
