Overview
NOW Foods Thyroid Energy™ is a complete nutritional supplement for the support of normal thyroid function. The formula combines iodine and L-tyrosine — two constituents the body needs for the synthesis of thyroid secretions. Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and to normal thyroid function.
The minerals selenium, zinc and copper have been added as cofactors involved in normal function — selenium also contributes to normal thyroid function. Vitamins B6 and B12 (as well-absorbed methylcobalamin) contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The formula is complemented by a standardized root and leaf extract of ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) from the Ayurvedic tradition, containing a minimum of 2.5% withanolides.
NOW Foods is a US family-owned company established in 1968. The product is made and quality tested in the USA, carries the Intertek GMP certification, Kosher (Triangle K) and Halal marks, and is non-GMO. The capsules are vegetarian (hypromellose) and the product is made without milk, egg, gluten, nut or soy ingredients. L-OptiZinc® is a Lonza trademark. The bottle is made from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin.

Who is it for
Suitable for adults who want comprehensive support for normal thyroid function and energy metabolism — for example during active periods, times of increased workload, or when the diet tends to be one-sided. The daily serving is 2 capsules, preferably in divided doses with food. The bottle contains 180 veg capsules, i.e. 90 daily servings — a three-month supply.

Ingredients
Hypromellose (cellulose capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid (vegetable source) and silicon dioxide.
Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nut or sesame ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.
How to use
Take 2 capsules daily, preferably in divided doses with food. Store in a cool, dry place after opening.
