Arginine – L-arginine in vegetable capsules

Amix Arginine is a food supplement containing L-arginine hydrochloride in vegetable capsules. One capsule contains 500 mg and the daily dose of four capsules 2000 mg L-arginine hydrochloride. The container holds 360 capsules (net weight 230.4 g), or 90 daily doses. The product is part of the range of the Czech food supplement manufacturer Amix Nutrition. The vegetable capsule is made from cellulose and contains no animal-derived ingredients.

What is L-arginine?

L-arginine is a protein-building amino acid that the body can produce itself, so it is not one of the essential amino acids. In the diet, arginine comes from protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, dairy products, nuts and seeds. In this product arginine is in the form of its hydrochloride salt, a pure crystalline form. The manufacturer uses crystalline L-arginine that contains no other amino acids.

Arginine is abundant in foods such as pumpkin seeds, peanuts, almonds, turkey, chicken and soybeans. Food supplements often use L-arginine hydrochloride because it is stable and easy to dose. The net weight of the container is 230.4 g.

How to use?

Take 4 capsules a day: 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules before sleep. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you use other products containing arginine at the same time, such as pre-workout blends, take their amounts into account too. The exact amount per serving is shown in the nutrition information. If you forget a capsule, do not take a double amount next time.

Ingredients and storage

In addition to L-arginine hydrochloride, the capsule contains the anti-caking agents magnesium salts of fatty acids and silicon dioxide. The capsule shell is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and purified water, and its white colour comes from calcium carbonate – the capsule contains no gelatine. Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, away from sunlight and protected from frost. Keep the container tightly closed so that the capsules do not absorb moisture. The capsules contain no sugar, sweeteners or flavourings.
