BCAA Gold – branched-chain amino acids in tablets

Amix BCAA Gold is a food supplement containing three branched-chain amino acids – L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine – in tablet form. The amino acids are combined in a 2:1:1 ratio, which means the blend contains twice as much L-leucine as L-isoleucine or L-valine. One serving of three tablets provides a total of 3000 mg of branched-chain amino acids: 1500 mg of L-leucine, 750 mg of L-isoleucine and 750 mg of L-valine, i.e. about 1000 mg of amino acids per tablet. The tub contains 300 tablets, enough for 100 servings. The product is part of the range of the Czech sports nutrition and food supplement manufacturer Amix Nutrition.

What are branched-chain amino acids?

Branched-chain amino acids, or BCAAs, are three essential amino acids named after the branched carbon chain in their molecular structure. Essential means that the body cannot produce them itself, so they have to be obtained from food. L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine occur naturally in all protein-rich foods – meat, fish, dairy products, eggs and legumes. In this food supplement the amino acids are in free form, i.e. as individual molecules rather than bound in protein. Tablets are a simple way to take a precisely measured amount without mixing a drink or worrying about taste – and they fit easily into a gym bag.

How to use?

The recommended daily amount is 3 tablets. Take 2 tablets before physical activity and 1 tablet after physical activity with sufficient water. One daily serving provides 3000 mg of branched-chain amino acids. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you use other products containing amino acids at the same time, take their amounts into account as well.

Composition and storage

In addition to the three amino acids, the tablet contains excipients that give it its shape and stability: the anti-caking agent microcrystalline cellulose, the stabilisers dicalcium phosphate and croscarmellose sodium, and the anti-caking agents magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. The product may contain traces of milk, eggs, soybeans, gluten and shellfish (crustaceans and molluscs). Keep the tub tightly closed in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, away from sunlight and out of the reach of children.
