BCAA Gold – branched-chain amino acids in tablets

Amix BCAA Gold is a food supplement containing three branched-chain amino acids – L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine – in tablet form. The amino acids are in a 2:1:1 ratio, which means the product contains twice as much leucine as isoleucine or valine. One tablet contains 1000 mg and the daily dose of three tablets 3000 mg branched-chain amino acids. The container holds 150 tablets, or 50 daily doses. The product is part of the range of the Czech food supplement manufacturer Amix Nutrition.

What is BCAA?

BCAA is short for branched-chain amino acids. This group includes leucine, isoleucine and valine, which are named after the branched side chain in their molecular structure. All three are essential amino acids: the body cannot produce them itself, so they must be obtained from the diet. Branched-chain amino acids are a natural part of dietary proteins, so they are found in all protein-rich foods, such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes and nuts. The letter L indicates the natural form of the amino acids, which also occurs in dietary proteins.

How to use?

Take 3 tablets a day: 2 tablets before physical activity and 1 tablet after it. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you use other products containing branched-chain amino acids at the same time, such as amino acid or protein powders, take their amounts into account too. The product is not designed for children and must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The manufacturer recommends consulting a doctor or another healthcare practitioner before use, especially if you take medication or other food supplements. The product may contain traces of milk, eggs, soybeans, gluten, crustaceans and molluscs.

Ingredients and storage

In addition to the three amino acids, the tablet contains technological ingredients needed to make the tablets: the anti-caking agent microcrystalline cellulose, the stabilisers dicalcium phosphate and croscarmellose sodium, and the anti-caking agents magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. The tablets contain no sugar, sweeteners, colours or flavourings. Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, away from sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed to protect the tablets from moisture.
