Amix CEE – creatine ethyl ester in capsules

Amix CEE is a food supplement containing creatine ethyl ester hydrochloride (CEE HCl) in vegetable capsules. Five capsules contain 3000 mg creatine ethyl ester hydrochloride. The container holds 125 capsules (net weight 96.3 g), or 25 daily doses.

The recommended daily dose is 5 capsules, taken 30 minutes before training with 300–500 ml of water. Capsules make creatine easy to take even when mixing a powder is inconvenient, for example when travelling or at work. There is no need to mix or measure – the daily dose is always the same.

What is creatine ethyl ester?

Creatine is a compound found naturally in the body and also obtained from food, mainly from meat and fish. The most common form in food supplements is creatine monohydrate. Creatine ethyl ester is a form of creatine with an ethyl ester group attached to the molecule. Esters are organic compounds formed by esterification – the reaction of a carboxylic acid with an alcohol.

Because the ester group and the hydrochloride make up part of the molecular weight, 3000 mg creatine ethyl ester hydrochloride corresponds to approximately 2 g of creatine. Keep this in mind when comparing the product with creatine monohydrate.

Ingredients and capsule

The capsule is made of plant-based hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and coloured with calcium carbonate. The formula also contains the stabiliser hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (Methocel®), which the manufacturer uses in its CRT-ss system, and the anti-caking agents magnesium salts of fatty acids and silicon dioxide. The formula contains no sugar, sweeteners or flavourings. Methocel® is a registered trademark of The Dow Chemical Company.

Amix CEE is suitable for adults who want to take creatine in capsule form. The manufacturer recommends that athletes using creatine drink at least 2 litres of water a day. If you use other creatine-containing products at the same time, such as pre-workout powders, take their creatine content into account as well. The capsule is plant-based, so the product is also suitable for people who avoid capsules of animal origin. One capsule contains 600 mg creatine ethyl ester hydrochloride. Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C and a relative humidity of up to 70%, away from sunlight and protected from frost. The pack contains a moisture-absorbing sachet that must not be eaten.
