NOCCO Focus Stellar Blend – pineapple and mangosteen drink with caffeine

NOCCO Stellar Blend is a carbonated, sugar-free drink from the NOCCO Focus range by the Swedish beverage brand NOCCO. Its flavour brings together crisp pineapple and sweet, exotic mangosteen. One 330 ml can contains 180 mg of caffeine and five B vitamins: niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12 and biotin. The drink also contains green tea extract. It is sweetened with the sweetener sucralose, so it contains no sugar and a can provides only 4 kcal. Unlike the drinks in the NOCCO BCAA range, the Focus range drinks contain no branched-chain amino acids. NOCCO was founded in Stockholm in 2014 and its drinks are made for active adults.

B vitamins

One 330 ml can contains 13 mg of niacin (81% of the nutrient reference value), 1.4 mg of vitamin B6, 2.5 µg of vitamin B12 and 50 µg of biotin (100% each) and 100 µg of folic acid (50%). 100 ml of the drink provides 15–30% of the nutrient reference value of these vitamins.

How to use?

Serve chilled – one 330 ml can is one serving. The manufacturer recommends no more than two cans a day. As one can contains 180 mg of caffeine, take into account caffeine from other sources during the day too, such as coffee, tea, energy drinks and caffeinated food supplements. The drink contains green tea extract, so do not drink it on an empty stomach or on the same day as other green tea products. The drink can be enjoyed, for example, before a workout, during a long working day or while studying. People react to caffeine differently, so consider the time of day as well – a caffeinated drink in the evening may disturb sleep.

NOCCO Stellar Blend is made for active adults who prefer a sugar-free caffeinated drink, for example before a workout or during a long working day. Because of its high caffeine content, the drink is not recommended for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women, and the manufacturer does not recommend it for people who are sensitive to caffeine. Because of the green tea extract, the drink is also not intended for anyone under 18. Ingredients

The drink is based on carbonated water. It also contains caffeine, green tea extract, vitamins (niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, biotin and vitamin B12), the acidity regulator citric acid, flavourings, the sweetener sucralose, the preservatives potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate, the colour beta-carotene and the colouring food carrot concentrate. The colour of the drink comes from beta-carotene and carrot. According to the manufacturer, NOCCO drinks are produced in the western part of the European Union.
