ABE can – carbonated caffeinated drink before training

The Applied Nutrition ABE can is a carbonated ready-to-drink beverage intended to be drunk before training. One 330 ml can is one serving and contains 200 mg of caffeine, 2 g of citrulline, 2 g of beta-alanine and 200 mg of taurine. Niacin and vitamin B12 are also added. The drink is sweetened with the sweetener sucralose and, according to the manufacturer, contains zero sugar. Because it is ready to drink, there is no powder to mix and no shaker to carry: just put the can in your gym bag and open it when your session is about to start. ABE is the Applied Nutrition pre-workout range, which also includes powders and gels.

Ingredients per can

One 330 ml can contains 200 mg of caffeine, 2 g of citrulline, 2 g of beta-alanine and 200 mg of taurine. Per 100 ml this is 60.6 mg of caffeine, 606 mg of citrulline, 606 mg of beta-alanine and 60.6 mg of taurine. Caffeine is a compound found naturally in coffee, tea and cocoa. Citrulline and beta-alanine are amino acids often used in pre-workout products, and taurine is an aminosulfonic acid used in many energy drinks. The formula also contains betaine anhydrous and L-tyrosine (acetyl L-tyrosine in the White variant) as well as the vitamins niacin and vitamin B12. Potassium sorbate is used as a preservative.

How to use?

One can (330 ml) is one serving – drink it before training. Do not exceed the suggested use. As one can contains 200 mg of caffeine, take into account caffeine from other sources during the day, such as coffee, tea, energy drinks and caffeinated food supplements.
