OstroVit Fat Burner eXtreme is a food supplement containing ten ingredients: L-tyrosine, L-carnitine tartrate, green coffee bean extract, green tea leaf extract, ginger root extract, anhydrous caffeine, African mango seed extract, ginseng root extract, black pepper fruit extract and chromium. One serving is 3 capsules. The container holds 90 capsules, or 30 servings, which last one month with regular use. A serving provides a total of 194 mg caffeine and 100 µg chromium, which is 250% of the nutrient reference value. The capsule shell is plant-based and the product is also suitable for vegans. It is made by the Polish company OstroVit.

Chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.

What does it contain?

L-tyrosine is an amino acid that the body produces from another amino acid, phenylalanine; it is also obtained from protein-rich foods such as meat, fish and dried pulses. L-carnitine is a vitamin-like compound that the body produces from the amino acids methionine and lysine and that occurs in animal-based foods such as meat, fish, milk and dairy products; in this product it is present as L-carnitine tartrate. Green coffee bean extract is obtained from unroasted coffee beans and is standardised for its chlorogenic acid and caffeine content. Green tea leaf extract is obtained from the steamed and dried leaves of the tea plant and is standardised for its polyphenol content. Caffeine is a compound from the purine alkaloid group that occurs naturally in coffee beans and tea leaves. The ginger root extract contains 5% gingerols, the ginseng root extract 20% ginsenosides and the black pepper fruit extract 95% piperine. African mango seed extract is obtained from the seeds of a tree native to Africa. Chromium is a trace element found, for example, in wholegrain products, yeast, eggs, broccoli, peas and tomatoes.

How to use?

Take one serving, i.e. 3 capsules, a day with a sufficient amount of water, for example in the morning or before training. Because of the green tea extract, do not take the product on an empty stomach or on the same day as other products containing green tea. Do not use other sources of caffeine at the same time, such as coffee, energy drinks or caffeinated food supplements. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Ingredients and storage

In addition to the active ingredients, the capsules contain the anti-caking agent silicon dioxide. The capsule shell is made of plant-based hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. Chromium is present as chromium picolinate. The product is manufactured in a facility that also processes ingredients derived from milk, soy, peanuts, other nuts, cereals containing gluten, eggs, crustaceans and fish. Store in a closed container in a dry place at 15–25 °C, away from direct sunlight.
