Milk thistle and turmeric

Milk thistle is a thistle species native to the Mediterranean region, with purple flower heads and white-veined leaves. According to legend, the white streaks on the leaves came from the milk of the Virgin Mary – hence the English name milk thistle and the Estonian name maarjaohakas. The extract is made from the fruits of the plant, which are often called seeds. Silymarin is a group of flavonolignans found in milk thistle fruits, and in this product the extract is standardised so that 80% of it consists of silymarin flavonoids. Turmeric is a tropical plant of the ginger family whose root is ground into a yellow powder known as a spice, for example in curry blends. The yellow colour of turmeric comes from the curcuminoids it contains.

How to use?

Take two capsules one to three times a day with food – for example with breakfast, lunch or dinner. Swallow the capsules with a glass of water. Do not exceed the recommended amount of six capsules a day. If you use other food supplements containing milk thistle or turmeric at the same time, take their amounts into account too. After opening, close the bottle tightly and store it in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
