Amix Osteo Glucosamine is a food supplement containing D-glucosamine sulphate in vegetable capsules. One capsule contains 1000 mg D-glucosamine sulphate 2KCl. The recommended amount is 1–2 capsules a day, preferably between meals. The container holds 90 capsules, which last for three months at one capsule a day. What is glucosamine?

Glucosamine is an amino sugar, a sugar molecule in which one hydroxyl group has been replaced with an amino group. The body produces glucosamine itself from glucose and the amino acid glutamine. Glucosamine used in food supplements is usually obtained from shellfish shells, which is why this product contains an ingredient derived from crustaceans. The designation 2KCl means that the glucosamine sulphate is stabilised with potassium chloride, which makes the powder more stable. For this reason the product also contains a little potassium. Glucosamine sulphate is the salt form of glucosamine most commonly used in food supplements.

How to use?

Take 1–2 capsules a day, preferably between meals, and drink a glass of water. If you take two capsules, you can take them at once or spread them across the day. The container lasts 90 days at one capsule a day and 45 days at two capsules a day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you use other products containing glucosamine at the same time, take their amounts into account too.

Ingredients and storage

In addition to glucosamine sulphate, the capsule contains the anti-caking agents magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide, which keep the powder even. The capsules contain no sugar or sweeteners. The capsule shell is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and purified water, and its white colour comes from calcium carbonate. Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, away from sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed.
