Power System Power Straps – cotton lifting straps with neoprene padding

Power System Power Straps are lifting straps made of thick cotton canvas. They help you hold on to a bar or handle more firmly in pulling exercises where your grip tends to tire before the rest of your body. The straps are wrapped around the bar and tightened to the right tension, so the load is held not only by your fingers but also by the straps. Soft neoprene padding over the wrist makes the straps more comfortable to wear during heavy lifts. Double line stitching adds durability. Thick cotton and neoprene padding

The straps are made of thick cotton canvas that is strong yet soft and supple. According to the manufacturer, the fabric is highly breathable, so your hands do not get hot as easily during training and you can focus on your technique. Unlike leather, suede or rubber straps, cotton can be tightened exactly as firmly as needed once wrapped around the bar. The neoprene padding over the wrist softens the pressure of the strap on the wrist and keeps it from rubbing the skin even when lifting heavy loads. Double line stitching holds the straps together even with frequent use.

How to use?

Place the strap around your wrist so that the neoprene padding sits over the wrist. Put your hand on the bar, wrap the free end of the strap around the bar from underneath and tighten it until the strap holds the bar firmly against your palm. Then grip the bar firmly with your fingers as well and perform the exercise. Because a cotton strap can be tightened to just the right tension, you can set up a comfortable grip before every set. The straps can be used with barbells, dumbbells, D-handles and cable machine handles. After the set, unwrap the strap and release your hand.
