Animal Test – capsules with botanical extracts and zinc plus arachidonic acid softgels in daily packs

Animal Test is a food supplement made in the United States by the Animal brand (Universal Nutrition), supplied in convenient daily packs. Each pack contains four capsules with botanical powders, extracts and zinc and two softgels with arachidonic acid oil. The can holds 21 packs (net weight 98.2 g), which corresponds to one 21-day cycle. With daily packs there is no need to count out or carry separate capsules – one pack is one daily dose and fits easily into a gym bag or pocket.

What does a daily pack contain?

The largest ingredient of the capsule complex (4 capsules) is nettle root powder – 975 mg per daily dose. In addition, the nutrition table lists 250 mg maca root extract (0.6% glucosinolates), 250 mg Tribulus terrestris extract (20% saponins), 250 mg Polygonum cuspidatum root extract (2% trans-resveratrol), 250 mg fenugreek seed powder, 250 mg grapefruit peel powder, 150 mg Citrus aurantium fruit extract (98% hesperetin), 20 mg phytosterols and 0.5 mg BioPerine® pepper fruit extract (95% piperine). The capsules also provide 6.5 mg zinc as zinc oxide, which covers 65% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) for adults. The capsule shell is made of gelatin and coloured with E129 and E133.

The softgels (2 pcs) contain a total of 1250 mg arachidonic acid oil. Arachidonic acid is an omega-6 fatty acid. The softgel shell is made of bovine gelatin and contains the colour E150d.

The capsule gelatin contains sulphites. As both capsule types are made of gelatin, the product is not suitable for vegetarians. The product is made in a HACCP and cGMP certified facility on equipment that also processes milk, soy, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, wheat and sesame. How to use?

Take one pack a day for 21 straight days. On training days, take the pack with the last meal before you work out; on off days, take it with any meal. The recommended daily dose is one pack. Unlike several other cycled Animal products, Animal Test can be used for two consecutive cycles without an off week, i.e. for a total of 42 days. After this double cycle, take a full four weeks off. Store the can in a cool, dry place, away from heat, moisture and sunlight. The lot number and best before date are printed on the bottom of the can.

Animal Test is intended for healthy adult men aged at least 21 who want a daily pack of botanical extracts and zinc with a fixed composition and a clear cyclical usage plan. According to the manufacturer, the product is not intended for children, elderly people or women. It must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have or are at risk of a medical condition or are on a red meat-restricted diet.
