What is OstroVit Vitamin D3 4000 + K2?

OstroVit Vitamin D3 4000 + K2 is a food supplement that combines vitamins D3 and K2 in one small tablet. One tablet provides 100 µg, i.e. 4000 IU of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and 100 µg of vitamin K2 in the highly bioavailable menaquinone-7 (MK-7) form. This is a limited-edition pack of 110 tablets – 10 servings more than the regular 100-tablet jar, 110 days in total at one tablet a day.

Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin that we get from food (for example oily sea fish) and that the skin produces under sunlight; in the body it is stored mainly in adipose tissue and the liver. Vitamin K2, or menaquinone, is also fat-soluble; it is produced by bacteria in the digestive tract and found in both plant- and animal-based foods. MK-7 is the form of vitamin K2 best absorbed by the body, and it works together with vitamin D3.

The role of vitamins D and K

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, normal muscle function and the normal function of the immune system.
