Gold Standard BCAA Train + Sustain is a powdered food supplement from Optimum Nutrition that mixes with water into a light, refreshing drink. One serving (9.5 g, about two rounded scoops) provides 5 g of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) – L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine – plus 80 mg of vitamin C, 114 mg of magnesium and 10 mg of zinc. The blend also contains 200 mg of Rhodiola rosea root extract as well as sodium chloride and potassium chloride. The pack holds 266 g of powder, enough for 28 servings.

What does one serving contain?

BCAAs are three essential amino acids that the body cannot produce itself and that we obtain mainly from dietary protein. In Gold Standard BCAA the ratio of leucine, isoleucine and valine is approximately 2:1:1 – each serving contains 2.6 g of L-leucine and 1.2 g each of L-isoleucine and L-valine. One serving covers 100% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) for vitamin C and zinc, 30% for magnesium and 23% for chloride. Rhodiola rosea is a northern plant whose root extract is one of the ingredients of the blend.

How to use?
