OstroVit Beef Amino 2000 – beef protein hydrolysate in tablets

OstroVit Beef Amino 2000 is a food supplement in tablets that complements the diet with amino acids from protein of beef origin. One serving is two tablets, which together contain 2000 mg of beef protein hydrolysate and 1.8 g of protein. The container holds 300 tablets, i.e. 150 servings, which last for 150 days when used as recommended. Beef protein hydrolysate makes up 97.14% of the tablet; the rest are anti-caking agents. According to the nutrition information on the label, two tablets provide 31 kJ or 7 kcal of energy and contain 0 g of fat and 0 g of carbohydrate. The product is made by the Polish manufacturer OstroVit.

What is beef protein hydrolysate?

Beef protein hydrolysate is protein of beef origin that has been broken down by hydrolysis into smaller parts – peptides and amino acids. Proteins are made up of amino acids, and every protein source has its own amino acid composition. Hydrolysate pressed into tablets is a convenient way to add protein and amino acids to the daily menu without measuring and mixing powder.

According to the typical amino acid profile on the label, two tablets contain the most glycine (512 mg), L-proline (269 mg), hydroxyproline (243 mg), L-glutamic acid (201 mg), L-alanine (184 mg) and L-arginine (154 mg). Two tablets contain a total of 134 mg of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA): 58 mg of L-leucine, 47 mg of L-valine and 29 mg of L-isoleucine. The profile also includes L-aspartic acid, L-lysine, L-serine, L-phenylalanine, L-threonine, L-methionine, L-histidine, L-tyrosine, L-ornithine, L-cysteine and L-tryptophan. As noted on the label, the values of the aminogram can be subject to biological fluctuations, typical of natural products.

How to use?

To complement the diet with amino acids, take 2 tablets a day with a meal. This is one serving and also the recommended daily dose, which must not be exceeded. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. If you also use other protein or amino acid products, take their amounts into account as well. One container lasts for 150 days when used as recommended.

OstroVit Beef Amino 2000 is suitable for adults who want to complement their daily diet with protein and amino acids of beef origin and prefer tablets to powder, as they are easy to dose and carry. As the protein is of beef origin, the product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. The product must not be used by children, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use the product if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

Ingredients and storage

The tablets contain beef protein hydrolysate (97.14%) and the anti-caking agents silicon dioxide and magnesium salts of fatty acids. The product may contain milk (including lactose), soy, peanuts, other nuts, sesame seeds, cereals containing gluten, eggs, crustaceans and fish. Keep the packaging tightly closed in a dry place at 15–25 °C, out of direct sunlight and out of reach of children. The best before date and batch number are on the bottom of the packaging.
