OstroVit Omega 3 Extreme is a food supplement with 1000 mg of fish oil in one capsule. The fish oil is obtained from Peruvian anchovies and is a source of the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA): one capsule contains 500 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA, i.e. 750 mg of these fatty acids in total. The daily dose is one easy-to-swallow softgel capsule. The container holds 90 capsules, which at the recommended use last three months. The product is made by the Polish food supplement manufacturer OstroVit.

EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.

One capsule a day provides 750 mg of EPA and DHA, including 250 mg of DHA.

What are omega-3 fatty acids?

Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids, which include eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). They occur naturally mainly in oily sea fish and seafood. If the diet contains little fish and a lot of processed food, the share of omega-3 fatty acids may remain small. How to use?

Take 1 capsule a day, preferably after a meal, with an adequate amount of water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The product must not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you use other products containing omega-3 fatty acids at the same time, take their amounts into account too. Due to its high fish oil content, the product has a characteristic fishy smell.
