OstroVit Marine Collagen with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C is a food supplement containing three ingredients: type I collagen from fish, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. The daily dose of four tablets provides 2200 mg hydrolysed fish collagen peptides, 120 mg hyaluronic acid as sodium hyaluronate and 80 mg vitamin C, which is 100% of the nutrient reference value. The container holds 90 tablets, or 22 daily doses. In tablet form the product is easy to use even if you do not want to mix a powder. It is made by the Polish company OstroVit.

What are collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C?

Collagen is one of the main structural proteins of the body and an important part of the extracellular matrix in animals. It occurs naturally in animal tissues such as bones and tendons. This product contains type I collagen from fish, which has been hydrolysed, i.e. broken down into smaller peptides. Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide belonging to the glycosaminoglycan group that occurs naturally in living organisms, including the dermis of the skin. The product contains it as sodium hyaluronate, the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin that the body cannot produce itself, so it must be obtained from the diet. Good sources are fresh fruit and vegetables, such as peppers, kohlrabi, oranges and blackcurrants.

How to use?

Take one serving, i.e. 4 tablets, a day and swallow with a sufficient amount of water. The tablets can be taken at once or spread over the day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you use other food supplements containing collagen or vitamin C at the same time, take their amounts into account too. A slight pink tint may appear on the surface of the tablets – this is due to the natural properties of the ingredients and does not affect the quality or safety of the product. Store in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and close the container carefully after use.
