Power System Dipping Beast – neoprene dip belt with 60 cm chain

Power System Dipping Beast is a dip belt with a chain that lets you use extra weight for dips and pull-ups. According to the manufacturer, the belt is designed to let you add plates, kettlebells, dumbbells or other weights to bodyweight exercises easily and quickly. The belt is made of neoprene and comes with a strong 60 cm chain and a carabiner. According to the manufacturer, the chain, carabiner, D-ring and reinforced stitching are built to last. The belt is fully adjustable and comes in one universal size, so it fits athletes of different builds. At Sportlab, Dipping Beast is available in two colour combinations: black-red and black-yellow.

Neoprene belt, chain and carabiner

The main part of Dipping Beast is a neoprene belt worn around the hips. The belt has a D-ring to which the 60 cm chain is attached with a carabiner. According to the manufacturer, the 60 cm chain lets you attach as much weight as you need, so the chain length does not limit the extra load. The manufacturer describes it as an upgraded heavy-duty chain. The stitching is reinforced so that the belt holds up to regular use. According to the manufacturer's reply, the maximum load of the belt is 350 kg.

How to use?

Place the belt around your hips and adjust it so that it stays firmly in place. Thread the chain through the centre hole of a weight plate or the handle of a kettlebell and clip the end of the chain to the D-ring with the carabiner. Before starting the exercise, make sure the carabiner is properly closed and the weight hangs freely. Then perform dips or pull-ups with your usual technique. Start with a lighter extra weight and increase the load gradually once you can perform the exercise with controlled technique. After training, remove the weight and let the belt air dry.
