OstroVit Glucosamine + MSM + Chondroitin + Vitamin C is a food supplement in tablets that combines four ingredients. The daily dose of 2 tablets contains 1000 mg of glucosamine sulfate (of which 590 mg glucosamine), 600 mg of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), 400 mg of chondroitin sulfate (of which 360 mg chondroitin) and 160 mg of vitamin C, which is 200% of the nutrient reference value. The container holds 90 tablets, or 45 daily doses, which with regular use last a month and a half. The product is made by the Polish food supplement manufacturer OstroVit.

Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system. Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The product is a source of vitamin C: the daily dose provides 200% of the nutrient reference value for vitamin C.

What are glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin?

Glucosamine is an amino sugar derived from glucose that occurs naturally in many tissues of the human body. The body also produces it in small amounts. Methylsulfonylmethane, or MSM, is an organic sulfur compound found in the everyday diet, for example in milk and dairy products, eggs, fruit, vegetables and wholegrain cereals; it can break down during heat treatment, pasteurisation and freezing. Chondroitin belongs to the mucopolysaccharides and consists of glucuronic acid and N-acetylgalactosamine residues. Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that the body does not produce itself, so it must be obtained from food – for example peppers, cabbage, kiwi, strawberries and blackcurrants.

How to use?

Take 1 serving, i.e. 2 tablets, a day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you use other food supplements containing glucosamine, chondroitin or vitamin C at the same time, such as multivitamins, take their amounts into account too. At the recommended use, one container lasts 45 days.
