MuscleTech Nitro-Tech is a whey protein powder that provides 30 g of protein and 3 g of creatine monohydrate per serving. The protein blend combines three forms of whey: whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate and whey peptides. One serving contains 150–160 kcal, 3–4 g of carbohydrates, of which 2 g are sugars, and 2.5–3 g of fat. There are no added sugars – the sweet taste comes from the sweeteners sucralose and acesulfame K. A 908 g container provides approximately 20 servings. Nitro-Tech is one of the best-known MuscleTech products and, according to the manufacturer, is sold in more than 130 countries. In addition to protein and creatine, each serving contains 3.2 g of L-leucine, 1.7 g of L-valine and 1.7 g of L-isoleucine from whey protein and added amino acids.

Protein, creatine and calcium

Protein is a macronutrient that we get from foods such as dairy products, fish, eggs and legumes. Creatine is a compound found naturally in the body, and small amounts are also obtained from meat and fish. One serving of Nitro-Tech provides 30 g of protein, 3 g of creatine and 140 mg of calcium (18% NRV).

How to use?

Mix 1 scoop (45–46 g) with about 180 ml of cold water or skimmed milk in a shaker until smooth. Drink the shake between main meals and straight after training. According to the directions of the manufacturer, up to 4 servings can be taken per day – do not exceed this amount. As one serving already provides 3 g of creatine, take into account any other creatine-containing products you use at the same time. Drink plenty of water during use. When mixed with skimmed milk, the shake also gets additional milk protein and energy.

Ingredients and quality

Both flavours are based on the same protein blend of whey protein concentrate, isolate and peptides. They also contain soy and/or sunflower lecithin, a thickener blend (cellulose gum, xanthan gum, carrageenan), salt, flavourings, the Enzyplex enzyme blend and the sweeteners sucralose and acesulfame K. The milk chocolate flavour contains alkalised cocoa, the vanilla cream flavour contains maltodextrin. According to MuscleTech, the whey is processed by cold microfiltration and the product is made in line with cGMP standards.
