Grenade Black Ops is a caffeine, taurine and cocoa food supplement in gelatine capsules with added vitamin B6 and niacin. One serving of two capsules provides 300 mg green tea extract, 275 mg taurine, 250 mg cayenne pepper, 220 mg choline bitartrate, 185 mg caffeine anhydrous, 100 mg Theobroma cacao extract, 20 mg blue-green algae, 20 µg chromium picolinate, 5 mg black pepper extract, 5 mg niacin and 5 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6). The box holds 100 capsules, or 50 servings.

The capsules come in Grenade's signature grenade-shaped container. You can take up to two servings a day, four capsules in total, but no more than two capsules at a time.

Vitamin B6 and niacin

Vitamin B6 and niacin contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system and normal psychological function. One serving contains 5 mg niacin as nicotinic acid (31% of the nutrient reference value) and 5 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride, providing 296% of the reference value for vitamin B6.

Two servings contain 10 mg nicotinic acid. Do not use other food supplements containing niacin or vitamin B6 at the same time.

Caffeine content

One serving contains 200 mg caffeine, of which 185 mg is added caffeine and 15 mg comes from the green tea extract. Two servings, the maximum daily amount, contain 400 mg caffeine. For this reason, do not use the product on a day when you consume other products containing caffeine, green tea or other stimulants, such as coffee or energy drinks. Do not take the product less than 6 hours before sleep.

Ingredients and capsule

Green tea extract contains catechins, including epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) – one serving contains 3 mg EGCG. Under EU rules, 800 mg or more of EGCG must not be consumed per day, and a product containing green tea extract must not be taken on an empty stomach. Taurine is an aminosulfonic acid that occurs naturally in the body, choline makes up 40% of choline bitartrate, the cocoa extract is obtained from cocoa beans and chromium makes up 12% of chromium picolinate. The capsule is made of bovine gelatine coloured with iron oxides (E172) and is Halal and Kosher certified, so the product is not suitable for vegetarians.

Who is it for?

Black Ops is intended for adults. Because of its high caffeine content, the product is not suitable for people under 18, the elderly, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use the product if you have high blood pressure or take prescription medication. If you have any medical concerns or allergies, consult a doctor or another healthcare professional before use. If you feel unwell after use, reduce or stop use and seek medical advice. The manufacturer advises tested athletes to consult their federation before use. The packaging may be attractive to young children, but it is not a toy – small parts present a choking hazard.
