NITRO-TECH 100% Whey Gold is a MuscleTech whey protein powder in which one scoop (33 g) provides 24 g of protein. The protein comes from a blend of three forms of whey protein: whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate and whey peptides. One serving contains 120 kcal, 2 g of fat and 2 g of carbohydrate, so most of the energy comes from protein. Depending on the flavour, the 2.27 kg container holds approximately 69–70 servings. How to use?

Mix 1 scoop (33 g) of powder with about 180 ml (6 fl oz) of cold water or skimmed milk in a shaker and shake until smooth. The manufacturer recommends drinking the shake between main meals and before and after training to help meet your daily protein requirement. Up to 4 servings (4 scoops) may be consumed per day. Drink enough fluids during use. Remember that you also get protein from your regular food, and match the number of servings to your diet.

Flavours and ingredients

The manufacturer has published ingredient and nutrition information for the following flavours: Double Rich Chocolate, French Vanilla Cream, Strawberry and Cookies & Cream. They all share the same base – whey protein blend, soy and/or sunflower lecithin, flavourings, salt and a thickener blend of cellulose gum, xanthan gum and carrageenan – and are sweetened with the sweeteners sucralose and acesulfame K. The chocolate flavour also contains cocoa processed with alkali, the strawberry flavour contains natural flavourings, beet juice for colour and citric acid, and the Cookies & Cream flavour contains cookie crumbs made from rice flour, sugar, tapioca starch, palm oil, cocoa and corn starch.
