What is BioTechUSA MultiSalt?

Water alone is not enough when you sweat heavily, train for long periods or exercise in a hot environment: along with sweat, the body also loses electrolytes. At such times it makes sense to replace minerals as well as fluids. BioTechUSA MultiSalt is an electrolyte complex in a compact capsule whose new improved formula contains an increased amount of sodium chloride, potassium and organic magnesium bisglycinate. One serving (3 capsules) provides 1.4 g of salt and four electrolytes: sodium, chloride, potassium and magnesium.

The pack contains 90 capsules, i.e. 30 servings. The capsule is small and practical – it fits into a running-vest pocket or a bike bag and is easy to take before, during and after training.

Four electrolytes in one capsule

Sodium is one of the most abundant electrolytes in the body and is lost in significant amounts through sweat. According to the manufacturer, up to 700 mg of sodium can be lost during a single run, which is why replacing it is particularly important.

Chloride is present together with sodium and is one of the basic elements of the body's internal balance. According to the manufacturer, it is involved in maintaining acid-base balance and proper hydration.

Magnesium is involved in numerous physiological processes: it contributes to maintaining electrolyte balance, supports normal muscle function and normal energy-yielding metabolism, and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue. An organic mineral means that the active ingredient is bound to organic molecules found in nature, such as amino acids or organic acids – in MultiSalt this is bisglycinate.

Potassium is one of the essential electrolytes in cells. It supports normal muscle function and the normal functioning of the nervous system, and contributes to the maintenance of normal blood pressure.

When is salt replacement necessary?
