Now Foods Super Enzymes is a food supplement in capsule form, described on the EU label as a "food supplement with digestive enzymes, betaine HCl and ox bile extract". Each capsule combines several enzymes and enzyme sources: pancreatin, which supplies amylase, protease and lipase, bromelain from pineapple, papain from papaya together with papaya fruit powder, acid-stable protease and cellulase. Enzymes and other ingredients

Enzyme names refer to the substances they act on: amylase – starch, protease – proteins, lipase – fats, cellulase – cellulose. In this product, 134 mg of pancreatin 11X supplies 37,000 USP units of amylase, 37,000 USP units of protease and 2,960 USP units of lipase per capsule. Bromelain is a plant protease obtained from pineapple, and papain is one obtained from papaya. Aspergillopepsin is an acid-stable protease whose activity is expressed in SAPU units. Besides milligrams, enzyme amounts are given in activity units (USP, GDU, SAPU, FCC PU, CU), as these describe enzyme activity more precisely than weight. Betaine HCl is a compound of betaine and hydrochloric acid, and the ox bile extract contains at least 45% total cholic acids.

How to use?

Take one capsule a day with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. You can take the capsule with whichever meal suits you best, for example lunch or dinner. If you use other food supplements containing enzymes at the same time, take them into account too. At the recommended use, one container lasts 180 days.
