Kevin Levrone EAA is a Black Line food supplement in powder form containing all nine essential amino acids: L-leucine, L-lysine, L-phenylalanine, L-valine, L-threonine, L-isoleucine, L-methionine, L-histidine and L-tryptophan. One serving of about 6.5 g provides 1878 mg of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) – leucine, isoleucine and valine. Besides the amino acids, the ingredients include inulin from chicory, citric acid, flavourings and the sweetener sucralose; no sugar has been added. The 390 g tub contains about 60 servings. Mixed with cold water, the powder makes a fruit-flavoured drink.

Essential amino acids

Essential amino acids are amino acids that the human body cannot produce itself, so they have to be obtained from food. They occur naturally in protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products and pulses. One serving of Kevin Levrone EAA contains 918 mg of L-leucine, 751 mg of L-phenylalanine, 711 mg of L-lysine (as 888 mg of L-lysine HCl), 518 mg of L-valine, 466 mg of L-threonine, 442 mg of L-isoleucine, 432 mg of L-methionine, 319 mg of L-histidine and 117 mg of L-tryptophan. Two servings, the highest recommended daily amount, provide twice as much; the exact amounts are shown in the nutrition table.

How to use?

Mix one heaping scoop (about 6.5 g) of powder with 250 ml of cold water. Use 1–2 servings a day: one serving between meals and the other before bedtime. On training days, one serving can be taken before, during or after your workout. The scoop in the pack is meant to make portioning easier but does not guarantee precise dosing – use kitchen scales to measure the exact amount. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
