Mutant GEAAR – nine essential amino acids and L-arginine in one drink

Mutant GEAAR is a powdered food supplement from the Canadian sports supplement brand Mutant that contains all nine essential amino acids (EAAs) together with L-arginine, plus an electrolyte blend, vitamin B6 and magnesium. One scoop (14 g) provides a total of 10,000 mg of amino acids. Of these, 7,000 mg are branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) – 4,000 mg of leucine, 1,500 mg of valine and 1,500 mg of isoleucine, a ratio of 8:3:3. The remaining 3,000 mg are made up of lysine, threonine, L-arginine, phenylalanine, methionine, histidine and tryptophan. According to the label, the amino acids are vegan, produced by fermentation and instantized, so the powder mixes easily with cold water. The drink is sweetened with sucralose and stevia leaf extract and flavoured with natural flavourings.

Vitamin B6, magnesium

In addition to amino acids, one scoop contains 2 mg of vitamin B6 (143% of the nutrient reference value) and 64 mg of magnesium (17% of the nutrient reference value). The magnesium comes from magnesium bisglycinate and magnesium oxide, vitamin B6 from pyridoxine hydrochloride.

How to use?

Mix 1 scoop (14 g) of powder with 250–500 ml of cold water, for example in a shaker, and drink during or after training. According to the manufacturer, the product is intended for healthy adults only. The recommended daily dose is one scoop and must not be exceeded. The container is filled by weight, not by volume, so the powder may settle during transport and the container may look partly empty. The container holds a desiccant packet that keeps the powder fresh – do not eat it.

Who is it for?

Mutant GEAAR is suitable for healthy adults who train regularly and want to supplement their diet with essential amino acids in the form of a tasty drink. The product is not suitable for children or pregnant or nursing women. Consult a doctor before taking any food supplement, especially if you take medication or have health problems. Remember that essential amino acids are also provided by ordinary protein-rich food, such as fish, eggs, dairy products and legumes, and a food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.

Flavours and their differences

All flavours contain the same amounts of amino acids, electrolytes, vitamin B6 and magnesium. The acids and colours differ by flavour:
