OstroVit Melatonin is a food supplement in tablet form containing melatonin. One tablet is also one serving and provides 1 mg of melatonin. The package contains 180 tablets, i.e. 180 servings, which last about six months when taking one tablet a day. The small tablets are easy to swallow and, according to the manufacturer, the product contains no ingredients of animal origin, so it is also suitable for vegans.

What is melatonin?

Melatonin is a hormone that occurs naturally in the human body. It is produced in the central nervous system by the pineal gland, one of the endocrine glands, and is derived from the amino acid tryptophan. The synthesis and secretion of melatonin increase in darkness, while exposure to light inhibits these processes. The body's natural production of melatonin begins after sunset and reaches its highest level in the middle of the night, usually between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. In food supplements, melatonin is used in very small amounts measured in milligrams. OstroVit Melatonin contains 1 mg of melatonin in each tablet, so the dose is easy to keep track of.

How to use?

Take 1 serving, i.e. 1 tablet, a day 30 minutes before bedtime. One tablet is also the recommended daily dose, which must not be exceeded. If you travel across several time zones, take the tablet before going to bed on the first day of travel and on the following few days after arrival at your destination. Do not use the product while driving or operating machinery and do not combine it with alcohol or other medicines, including herbal remedies. 180 tablets last for 180 days.
