Scitec Nutrition Ginkgo Biloba is a food supplement in tablet form whose daily dose – 2 tablets – contains 160 mg of ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) leaf extract. The extract is standardised for two groups of compounds naturally found in the leaves: the daily dose provides 38.4 mg of flavone glycosides and 9.6 mg of terpene lactones, which corresponds to 24% and 6% of the amount of extract respectively. Thanks to standardisation, the extract always contains these compounds in a constant amount.

The pack contains 100 tablets, i.e. 50 daily doses, so one container lasts 50 days when used as recommended. Scitec Nutrition is a Hungarian manufacturer of sports nutrition and food supplements.

Ginkgo

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) is one of the oldest tree species still living today – its close relatives grew on Earth as early as the age of the dinosaurs, which is why ginkgo is often called a living fossil. The tree originates from China and has been planted near temples and in gardens in East Asia for centuries. Today, ginkgo is grown in parks and along streets all over the world, as it copes well with urban conditions and can live to a very great age.

Ginkgo is easy to recognise by its fan-shaped leaves, which are often divided into two lobes. The leaves contain several types of compounds, the most important of which are flavonoids and terpenoids. In ginkgo leaf extract, the content of these groups is expressed as flavone glycosides and terpene lactones, and the extract in this product is standardised for exactly these compounds. No nutrient reference value has been established for ginkgo leaf extract.

How to use?

Take 1 tablet twice a day with a glass of water. The daily dose is therefore 2 tablets, which together contain 160 mg of ginkgo leaf extract. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Composition and tablet

In addition to ginkgo leaf extract, which makes up 11% of the tablet, the tablet contains cellulose gel as a bulking agent and magnesium salts of fatty acids and silicon dioxide as anti-caking agents. The tablet has a coating made of the stabilisers polyvinyl alcohol-polyethylene glycol graft co-polymer and polyvinyl alcohol, and the anti-caking agents talc and mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids. The product contains no colours or sweeteners.

Made in a plant that also processes foods containing milk, egg, gluten, soy, peanuts, nuts, celery, fish, crustaceans, molluscs and sulphur dioxide. Keep the container out of the reach of children.
