Applied Nutrition Tri-Magnesium is a flavoured drink powder containing magnesium in three different forms: magnesium bisglycinate, magnesium taurate and magnesium citrate. One scoop (4 g) provides 300 mg of magnesium, which is 80% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) for adults. The powder is mixed with water or another drink of your choice, making a refreshing fruit-flavoured drink that is easy to have in the morning, after training or in the evening. Why three forms of magnesium?

Magnesium can be added to food supplements in several forms. In bisglycinate magnesium is bound to two glycine molecules, in taurate to the amino acid taurine and in citrate to citric acid. Tri-Magnesium combines these three forms, so one serving provides magnesium both as amino acid compounds and as an organic salt. The other ingredients are flavourings, citric and malic acid, the sweetener sucralose and a flavour-specific colour. There is no sugar in the formula. 200–500 ml of water is enough to dissolve the powder – the more water, the milder the taste. The scoop is approximate; for an exact amount the manufacturer recommends using scales.
