5% Nutrition ZMA Core Series is a food supplement in capsules containing zinc, magnesium, vitamin B6 and boron. The name ZMA refers to the core of the formula: zinc and magnesium (as aspartates among other forms) with vitamin B6. The recommended daily dose is 2 capsules, providing 20 mg of zinc, 300 mg of magnesium, 7 mg of vitamin B6 and 3 mg of boron. The pack contains 90 capsules – enough for 45 days. 5% Nutrition is an American sports nutrition brand founded by Rich Piana, and Core Series is its line of everyday essentials.

What is in it?

Zinc is included in three forms – zinc mono-L-methionine, zinc aspartate and zinc oxide. Magnesium comes from magnesium aspartate and magnesium oxide and vitamin B6 from pyridoxine hydrochloride; the product also contains boron. The capsule shell is gelatin, and magnesium stearate and rice powder are used as additives.

The daily dose (2 capsules) covers 500% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) for vitamin B6, 80% for magnesium and 200% for zinc. No NRV has been established for boron. It is advisable to consult a doctor or pharmacist before long-term use.

How to take it?
