ICONFIT Omega-3 – fish oil with EPA, DHA and vitamin E

ICONFIT Omega-3 is a food supplement in softgel capsules containing fish oil together with vitamin E. Each capsule contains 1000 mg of fish oil, of which 180 mg is eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 120 mg docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) – a total of 300 mg of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. One capsule also provides 2.25 mg of vitamin E, which is 19% of the nutrient reference value. The recommended amount for adults is 1–2 capsules a day. The pack contains 60 softgels, which last 30–60 days depending on use. ICONFIT is an Estonian food supplement brand and the product is made in Estonia.

EPA, DHA and vitamin E

EPA and DHA are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids that occur naturally mainly in oily fish, such as salmon, herring, mackerel and sprats. The body can form them itself only to a small extent, so it is important to obtain them from food. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin found in vegetable oils, nuts and seeds; in this product it is present as DL-α-tocopheryl acetate.

The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. One capsule provides 300 mg of EPA and DHA.

How to use?

Adults take 1–2 capsules a day with a glass of water. One capsule provides 180 mg of EPA, 120 mg of DHA and 2.25 mg of vitamin E; with two capsules the amounts are doubled, i.e. 360 mg of EPA, 240 mg of DHA and 4.5 mg of vitamin E (38% of the nutrient reference value). Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you also use other food supplements containing omega-3 fatty acids or vitamin E, take their amounts into account. Keep the container closed after use in a dry, dark place.

Who is it for?

ICONFIT Omega-3 is suitable for adults who want to supplement their diet with the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA and with vitamin E – for example those who rarely eat oily fish. The product contains fish and is therefore not suitable for people allergic to fish. The capsule shell is made of gelatine, so the product is not suitable for vegetarians. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have health problems, consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.

Ingredients and storage

The softgel consists of fish oil, the capsule shell (gelatine, the humectant glycerol and water) and vitamin E in the form of DL-α-tocopheryl acetate. Store the container in a dry, dark place at 5–25 °C and keep it out of the reach of children. The pack contains 60 softgels.
