Kaged PRE-KAGED – pre-workout drink with caffeine, citrulline and B vitamins

Kaged PRE-KAGED is a food supplement in powder form for making a drink before training. One scoop provides 274 mg of caffeine, 6.5 g of L-citrulline and 3.5 g of BCAAs, the branched-chain amino acids L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine in a 2:1:1 ratio. Each serving also contains an additional 3 g of L-leucine, 2 g of betaine, 2 g of taurine, 1.6 g of beta-alanine, 1.5 g of creatine hydrochloride and two forms of tyrosine. The formula is completed with niacin, vitamins B6 and B12, 500 mg of coconut water powder and 100 mg of a fruit, vegetable and botanical blend. Sportlab offers PRE-KAGED in several flavours; the ingredient and nutrition information in this text is based on the EU label available for the Berry Blast and Orange Krush flavours. The Berry Blast tub contains 604 g and the Orange Krush tub 588 g, each providing 20 servings. The product is developed by the American brand Kaged.

B vitamins

Each scoop provides 30 mg of niacin (188% of the nutrient reference value), 25 mg of vitamin B6 (1786%) and 500 µg of vitamin B12 (20000%). Niacin is provided as niacinamide, vitamin B6 as pyridoxine hydrochloride and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin.

How to use?

Mix one scoop (about 30 g) with 470–590 ml (16–20 oz) of cold water in a shaker and drink it 30–45 minutes before training. Shake the bottle lightly between sips, as some ingredients may settle, and finish the drink within 25 minutes of mixing. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of one scoop. As one serving contains 274 mg of caffeine, do not use other caffeinated products or drinks such as coffee or energy drinks at the same time. If you train in the evening, keep in mind that caffeine may disturb sleep.

Who is it for?

PRE-KAGED is intended for adults who train regularly and want a caffeinated drink before training that combines several amino acids, betaine, creatine and B vitamins in one serving. It suits those who tolerate caffeine well and do not use other caffeinated products at the same time. The product is not suitable for people sensitive to caffeine. Because of its caffeine content, it is not recommended for people under 18 or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Ingredients and quality

According to the label, the amino acids L-citrulline, L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine are produced by fermentation. Caffeine comes from green coffee beans. The botanical blend includes, among others, turmeric, carrot, elderberry, chokeberry, bilberry, spinach, kale, green coffee and green tea concentrates or extracts. The colour of the Berry Blast flavour comes from beetroot extract; no colouring is listed for the Orange Krush flavour. Both flavours contain natural flavourings, citric acid, the sweeteners sucralose and stevia, silicon dioxide, calcium silicate and sunflower lecithin.
