Per4m Cookies 'N Creme is a cookies and cream flavoured protein bar from the sports nutrition brand Per4m Nutrition, weighing 62 g. Flavour and composition

The flavour is based on the classic combination of cookies and cream. The white chocolate coating (16% of the bar) contains cocoa butter and whole milk powder and is sweetened with maltitol; the white chocolate contains at least 29.4% cocoa solids and 22.5% milk solids. The caramel flavour layer (10%) contains oligofructose, shea oil, whey protein concentrate, butter and pectin. The crunch comes from the soya protein nuggets in the protein blend, made from soya protein isolate, cocoa powder and tapioca starch. The colours used are carbon black and calcium carbonate, with plain caramel in the caramel layer; the bar also contains sea salt and spirulina concentrate.

The bar is ready to eat and needs no preparation. The manufacturer suggests enjoying it after a workout, as a quick snack during a busy day or as a sweet treat in the evening. It is a convenient way to top up your daily protein intake when a proper meal is not possible. As the bar contains the sweetener maltitol, eating several bars at once is not recommended – excessive consumption may produce laxative effects.
