MuscleTech Nitro-Tech is a whey protein powder with added creatine monohydrate. One scoop (45–46 g depending on the flavour) provides 30 g of protein and 3 g of creatine monohydrate, plus 3.2 g of L-leucine, 1.7 g of L-valine and 1.7 g of L-isoleucine. The protein blend is made of three forms of whey protein: whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate and whey peptides. Depending on the flavour, a serving contains 150–160 kcal, 3–4 g of carbohydrate, of which 2 g sugars, and 2.5–3 g of fat. The 1.8 kg pack contains approximately 40 servings. Protein

One serving of Nitro-Tech provides 30 g of protein. Protein accounts for about three quarters of the energy content of the product.

How to use?

Mix 1 scoop (one serving) with approximately 180 ml of cold water or skimmed milk in a shaker and shake until smooth. The manufacturer recommends drinking the shake between main meals and immediately after training. Up to 4 servings may be consumed per day; do not exceed this amount. Drink enough water during use. If you mix the powder with milk, the energy and nutrients of the milk are added to the shake. The scoop in the pack helps you measure the serving accurately. Read the entire label before use.

Ingredients, flavours and quality

On the manufacturer's official website the composition is published for three flavours: Milk Chocolate, Vanilla Cream and Strawberry. The chocolate powder contains cocoa processed with alkali, the vanilla flavour contains maltodextrin, and the strawberry flavour gets its colour from beetroot juice; the strawberry flavour also contains calcium carbonate, citric acid and malic acid. All three are sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame K and contain an enzyme blend, a gum blend and soy or sunflower lecithin. The composition of other flavours is given on the pack. According to the manufacturer, cold microfiltration is used in producing the protein, and the product is manufactured in line with cGMP requirements. Produced in a facility that also processes wheat, egg, tree nut, peanut, fish, shellfish and sesame ingredients.
