Evolite, Beta Alanine, 500g

Evolite Beta Alanine – unflavoured beta-alanine powder, 500 g

Evolite Beta Alanine is an unflavoured powdered food supplement from the Polish sports nutrition brand Evolite, made with just two ingredients: beta-alanine and taurine. One serving weighs 842 mg and provides 800 mg of beta-alanine and 42 mg of taurine. The manufacturer recommends three servings a day, so the daily dose contains a total of 2400 mg of beta-alanine and 126 mg of taurine. The 500 g container holds approximately 593 servings, which at the recommended use means about 197 daily doses, or more than six months of use. As the powder is unflavoured and contains no sweeteners or flavourings, it is easy to mix with water or another drink and to combine with other powdered supplements.

Beta-alanine and taurine

Beta-alanine is a naturally occurring beta-amino acid. Unlike most amino acids, it is not used to build proteins. In food, beta-alanine is found mainly in meat and fish, where it is part of the dipeptides carnosine and anserine.

Taurine is a sulphur-containing compound that is also found naturally mainly in foods of animal origin, such as meat, fish and seafood. Evolite Beta Alanine combines the two in a fixed ratio: every 842 mg serving contains 800 mg of beta-alanine and 42 mg of taurine. No nutrient reference amount (NRV) has been set for these substances, which is why they are marked with two asterisks in the table.

How to use?

Dissolve one serving (842 mg, about 1/3 scoop) in 200 ml of water and drink it straight away. The manufacturer recommends three servings a day, so it is practical to spread the daily dose over the day, for example morning, midday and evening. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Because the serving is small, measure it with the scoop; a kitchen scale can also help with accurate dosing. Beta-alanine may cause a tingling sensation on the skin (paresthesia), especially in larger amounts; according to the manufacturer, this sensation is temporary.
