OstroVit CLA + Green Tea + L-Carnitine is a food supplement in capsule form that combines conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), green tea leaf extract and L-carnitine. One capsule is one serving and contains 300 mg of CLA ethyl ester (of which 80%, i.e. 240 mg, is CLA), 200 mg of green tea leaf extract standardised to 50% polyphenols and 9% caffeine, and 138 mg of L-carnitine. What are CLA, green tea extract and L-carnitine?

CLA, or conjugated linoleic acid, is an unsaturated fatty acid with 18 carbon atoms in its chain and two conjugated double bonds. It differs from linoleic acid in that its double bonds are separated by only one single bond – a property that is rare in nature. CLA is obtained from the diet, for example, from milk and dairy products, meat products and eggs. Green tea is made from the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis), which are only steamed and dried during production. The green tea leaf extract used in the product is standardised to polyphenols – phenolic compounds that occur naturally in plant raw materials, including epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) – and to caffeine, a purine alkaloid that is readily soluble in water. L-carnitine is a vitamin-like compound produced by the body in the liver and kidneys from the amino acids lysine and methionine. L-carnitine is obtained from the diet mainly from foods of animal origin – meat products, fish, milk and dairy products.

How to use?

Take one serving, i.e. 1 capsule a day, preferably before physical activity, and swallow it with a sufficient amount of water. Do not take the capsule on an empty stomach. One capsule is also the recommended daily dose, which must not be exceeded. Because of the green tea extract, do not use the product on the same day as other products containing green tea; the daily intake of EGCG must be less than 800 mg (one capsule contains 30 mg). As the capsule contains 18 mg of caffeine, also take into account the caffeine you get from coffee, tea and other products. 90 capsules last for 90 days.
