Animal Fury – pre-workout powder with citrulline malate, BCAAs, beta-alanine and caffeine

Animal Fury is a pre-workout drink powder from the Animal line by Universal Nutrition, mixed right before training. One scoop (approx. 16.1 g) contains five active ingredients: 6000 mg citrulline malate, 5000 mg instant BCAA blend, 2000 mg beta-alanine, 1000 mg L-tyrosine and 350 mg caffeine anhydrous. Sportlab stocks the green apple flavoured 322 g container, which provides approximately 20 servings. The product is a food supplement and its country of origin is the United States of America.

Composition per serving

The largest part of each serving is citrulline malate – a compound of the amino acid L-citrulline and malic acid. The BCAA blend contains the three branched-chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. Beta-alanine and L-tyrosine complete the formula. One serving contains 350 mg of caffeine, which is a high amount even for a pre-workout product – take it into account when planning your total daily caffeine intake. The green apple taste comes from natural and artificial flavours; the product is sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame potassium and coloured with spirulina.

How to use?

Mix one scoop of powder with 350 ml of your beverage of choice and drink it about 30 minutes before your workout. Because of the product's potency, the manufacturer advises starting with half a scoop and gradually working up to one full scoop. Do not consume more than one serving within 24 hours or within 6–8 hours of bedtime. As the powder absorbs moisture, it may clump over time – this is normal and does not affect use of the product.

Who is it for?

Animal Fury is intended for healthy adults who train regularly and are used to caffeine. It is not suitable for those under 18, pregnant or nursing women or people sensitive to caffeine. If you have high blood pressure, heart problems or any other medical condition, or take medication, do not use the product without consulting a physician. Because of the high caffeine content, do not use other caffeinated products on the same day.

Flavour, pack and storage

Available in Green Apple flavour, 322 g of powder per container. The product contains soy and may contain traces of milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish and wheat. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight, and close the lid tightly after use.
