OstroVit Vitamin D3 + K2 is a food supplement that combines two fat-soluble vitamins in one tablet: vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and vitamin K2 in the form of menaquinone-7 (MK-7). One tablet provides 50 µg (2000 IU) of vitamin D, which is 1000% of the nutrient reference value, and 100 µg of vitamin K, which is 133% of the nutrient reference value. The package contains 90 easy-to-swallow tablets, which last three months when taking one tablet a day.

One tablet a day provides 1000% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) for vitamin D and 133% for vitamin K.

What are vitamins D3 and K2?

Vitamin D3, or cholecalciferol, is a fat-soluble vitamin. The body obtains it from food – it is found, for example, in oily fish – and it is also produced in the skin under the influence of sunlight. In the body, vitamin D3 is stored mainly in adipose tissue and the liver. Vitamin K2, or menaquinone, is also a fat-soluble vitamin and is stored mainly in the liver. It is produced by bacteria naturally present in the digestive tract and obtained from foods of both plant and animal origin and from food supplements. In this product, vitamin K2 is in the form of menaquinone-7 (MK-7), derived from natto – a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis.

How to use?

Take 1 tablet a day. One tablet is also the recommended daily dose, which must not be exceeded. Before use, it is recommended to perform a 25(OH)D blood test and consult a doctor or pharmacist about the results. The product is intended for adults. 90 tablets last for three months.
